There are two method to extract oil from sunflower seed that is Hot pressed and cold pressed with slightly different flavors in the finished product. Pressing hot in more extracted oil results, but the flavor is slightly different as the difference between roasted or uncut cooked nuts. In some cases, a solvent extraction method applied to increase the amount of oil extraction. After pressing the seeds through the cold or hot press method, solvent extraction method can be applied to help remove any remaining oil from the oilcake.
